Strategy Guide

This page is supposed to help you with GunZ by telling you different strategies to win in all situations. Some may be very old but they are still very effective.

When someone is blocking
Don't you hate is when you're sword fighting, but your opponent keeps blocking? There is a simple answer to that. If it is a gladiator battle, secondary attack them. If they safe fall and you have a dagger it's OK because dagger secondry attacks do damage. If you use a katana or a kodachi, secondary attack them, butterfly-step forward and slash them. When they get up slash them in the back as many tiems as you can before the run away. If it isn't a gladiator than this is is easy. Aim for their legs.

Fast dashing
I always use this move in death match. It'll work in any other one but i prefer death match. This move works best with dagger. This move is simple. Just dash around while primary attacking. It may not seem very good but trust me, I've owned everyone with this technique. You might wanna add some jumping moves here also. For other melle weapons, just jump dash really fast. It may seem simpmle but it's not. You have to dash right after you jump and keep doing it. It works pretty well.

Canceling
This move works well to make your every move unpredictable. Whenever you are wall running or wall jumping, you eventually have to jump off a wall and land on the ground, thus making where you will land very predictable. There is a solution to that however. When you are in the air after jumping off the walljust primary attack and dash in anydirection you want. This will make your moves unpredictable and undefeatable.

Sniping
Since there is no sniper (I really wish they had one), good weapons for people good aiming at moving targets,  any rifle, pistol, or revolver is the best. For people with aim that isn't so good I reccomend the shotgun (I'm serious). Shotgun bullets spray everywhere in one shot so it would be perfect for bad aimers. Same thing for campers, if you are in a secret location, pick 'em off with sniping weapons. Campers waiting to ambush would be good with shotgun. Just wait until they are really close. By the way, snipers must be fst and deadly.

Reloading
Whenever you have a chance, always reload. I've seen people who haven't been in any activity for a long time and as soon as they get into a fight, they shoot like 5 rounds and they need to reload. Obviously, they get killed. A simple cure to that is to reload whenever you get the chance, even if you still have a pretty high ammo. By the way, reload with the R button, in case you didn't know.

When you want to try something new
If you just saw an awesome move being used, never try it out it anything but training mode. If you mess up something like wall fly near a pit, you'll lose a lot of EXP. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Safe Falling Dagger Hits
I have been in many battles in my life. I can't believe how many people can't safe fall a dagger secondary attack. There are some very high leveled people that lose to me because of this move.  It is very simple. Just press space. It is the same as safe falling a sword secondary attack. People say daggers are cheap because so many people don't know how to do this. Daggers aren't cheap. They can't block, they have very short range (shorter than swords), and they do little damage. The reward for the disabilities is that they can endlessly attack without pausing and their secondary attack does damage. If people using the "cheap" moves on you, you'll know how to stop them.

Easy Gun Dodge
I don't know why this works but gets your really close without being hit. Perfect use for a shotgun. You go up really close to your opponent. I know it sounds lame, but it has worked really well for me.  When you are really close to them (like dagger range close) they hold their guns past you so you can't be hit. The dangerous part is getting close to them. It sounds stupid but it works really well. It seems to work best against automatics.

Chatting
Probably everyone has learned this lesson the hard way. Always type in a hiding place and don't type for too long of you wil be a victim ofl search and destroy. Don't waste time typing slashes commands. Just type one of the number 6-0 of your keyboard.
